Civil and military architecture
Civil and military architecture is conserved in numerous bridges of Roman origin built along the rivers converging at Noguera Pallaresa.
Towers and castles formed a visual network, above all in Valls d’Àneu with central building in the castle of València. Notable examples are conserved of towers from the XI-XII century, such as the Espot tower and the Escaló tower, constructed above the walled Roman city of Escaló.
